Book Review: Daemonic Prosperity Magic by S. Connolly (Affiliate link)

This is an excellent book for wealth magic that walks you through how to apply demonolatry practices toward wealth magic, while also being balanced with practical life and financial advice that truly needs to be applied to manifest wealth. The author presents some excellent spells and workings that you can do. I’ve already started some of the workings and found them to be complementary toward my own ongoing efforts.

Book Review: Ishtar and Ereshkigal by Scott Irvine (affiliate link)

This book ended up being more of a cross culture mythological jaunt than an exploration of Ishtar and Ereshkigal. The author spent a lot of time on other mythologies, trying to connect those mythologies to the myths of Ishtar and Ereshkigal, but it would have been nice if the focus had stayed on the actual topic. He explored the topic some, but a lot of the time the book just didn’t come together the way it could have, if there had been more focus on the actual mythology the book is supposed to be about.

Book Review: Psychomagic by Alejandro Jodoorowsky (affiliate link)

This is a book that primarily explores a psychological approach to magical work for the purposes of internal work and healing. The author shares different experiences and techniques and he’s developed and learned. this is primarily an interview format and he doesn’t share how to do the techniques so much as what they are, though if you have some familiarity with magic you can probably reverse engineer what he’s shared. It’s an interesting book with some intriguing ideas.

Book Review: Practical Jinn Magick by Corwin Hargrove (affiliate link)

This is a no nonsense book where the author spells out how to work with the Jinn and provides specific spells to do as well as the instructions. The work is fairly comprehensive and easy to do, provided you follow the instructions. I found the book to be helpful and look forward to seeing what results I can get as well as how to take this work to its fullest potential.

Book Review: Drawing Down Belial by S. Connolly (Affiliate link)

In this book S. Connolly shares the daemonic system for divination, channeling, ascension (pathworking) as well a other related techniques. She shares how to make oils and other materials that can aid in doing this work. The book is a practical compedium that you can use to connect with daemonic spirits. the exercises are fairly easy to implement. You just have to get the required materials and then use them. Overall I found the book helpful for providing ways to improve on existing skills and connect with the daemonic.

Book Review: Elemental Powers for Witches by Frater Barabbas (Affiliate link)

In Elemental Powers for Witches Frater Barabbas presents a system for elemental and energy based magic around the 5 elements, but with some interesting innovations in that model of magic. He shares techniques he’s developed and tested over the years and provides in depth instructions on how to apply his system to your own magical work. He also provides some practical case studies that are useful for seeing how his system works. I highly recommend this book as a much needed advancement of classic elemental magic theory and practice.

Book Review: Living Magic by Frater U. D. (Affiliate link)

This is a fascinating collection of essays about magic, which also presents a historical view of an experimental group in Germany, where they share some of the magical experiments they were engaged in. I appreciated the historical aspect and the various thoughts they shared about projects they worked on. I would have liked a bit more practical details share, but overall it was an intriguing book to read and one I’d recommend because it provides a snapshot of what a group of magicians were working on and experimenting with.

Book Review: Power of the Witch by Laurie Cabot (Affiliate link)

I read this book and found it to be an interesting book that is simultaneously a bit dated in its perspective and yet timeless in what it offers. It’s a fascinating read and while I didn’t necessarily agree with everything the author shared I do respect the work for what it is and how it has helped multiple generations of people discover and work with their psychic powers. It’s a useful book that provides a snapshot of where we have been and useful to provide perspective on how much has changed since the book was published.

Book Review: The Witches Key to the Legion by Laurelei Black (Affiliate Link)

This is an amazing resource for the Goetia that any witch or magician will benefit from because of the research the author has done on the topic. I learned things in this book about the Goetia I didn’t know such as what the symbolism of the sigils means and other useful information that will help me take this work even further. This is a must have book for anyone who wants to do work with the Goetia.

Book Review: Demonolatry Goetia by S. Connolly (Affiliate link)

This is the daemonolatry version of the goetia with traditional descriptions of the spirits as well as the author’s own descriptions and an explanation of how daemonolatry approaches working with the Goetia. It’s a sort, to the point guide which provides useful suggestions for building a collaborative relationship with the goetia as well as a taxonomy of the spirits that’s more modernized. I appreciated the explanation provided in the book and find it to be a useful guide for doing Goetic workings.
